Purfiying Our Hearts10 Days Of Awe – Day 7

Pastor Sam Hinn & Bolan Yerby (from Heartland)

Hosea 14:2 Bring your confessions, and return to the Lord. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises. NLT

The number 10 is the number of testing, trial, law and order and responsibility towards the Lord.

The 10 DAYS OF AWE between the day of blowing the Trumpets and Atonement were days of preparation and all were responsible to be ready for this great day. In other words, we are in preparation during this 10 day period. I believe the preparation is to receive the “greater glory” as promised to the latter house.

But the glory “behind the veil” could not be seen nor experienced by the high priest until he was first “prepared” by the cleansing in the outer court and anointing in the inner court. Everything and everyone outside the veil had to be prepared and cleansed.

The high priest himself had to be prepared and cleansed lest he faced death by the holiness of the glory.

Leviticus 19:1-2 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. NKJV

This is a command for sanctification and purification. We, as God’s people must cry out for God to cleanse us and make us Holy before His glory can be realized in our midst. The Glory of God is the manifestation of His holiness.

Just as the dark clouds hinder the light of the sun, so sin hinders the Light of the Son. Sin separates, repentance restores. As we cry out to God in full surrender today and turn away from sin, His light will pierce through the darkeness and His glory will shine upon us again.

    Psalm 19:13&.14 NLT

“Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
    Don’t let them control me.
Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”

Thank you Pastor for guiding us through this beautiful journey!
